Your first appointment

This is an opportunity to consider what support you want and need. Just having a space and time to focus on the issues can in itself be very constructive and helpful. Sometimes we can’t see the wood for the trees and feel overwhelmed. The first meeting is your chance to talk through all your concerns and begin to formulate a plan that may help you and your child.

The first appointment will last approximately 1 hour. In that time you will be able to think through your concerns in a structured way that helps you to become clearer about which issues need addressing and how to best achieve this.

If following the first meeting you feel that a further meeting would be helpful this can then be arranged. This could include other family members including the child or young person. Any other significant adults can also be involved for example teachers.

Throughout the process there will be opportunities to reflect on the progress that is being made. Some issues resolve quickly others take more time but there is always potential for positive change.

All appointments are confidential. They can take place at consulting rooms at The Hale Village Therapy Centre, Ashley Road, Hale, Cheshire, or at your home. If appropriate, meetings can also be held at school or at another suitable venue.

The fees for each appointment are payable on the day by cheque or cash.
